Our History

Dr. Steinle’s office was founded in 1956 by Dr.George Gildea, a very well-respected orthodontist, Tufts graduate, and teacher at the Boston University Henry Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry for 45 years. As Dr. Steinle’s teacher and mentor, he passed the office to her upon his retirement in 1993. Dr. Steinle’s reputation for quality orthodontic treatment, combined with her wonderful staff, have led to a thriving practice thanks to many referrals from dentists and equally importantly, from satisfied patients.

Dr. Steinle taught orthodontics at Boston University for 10 years and worked in several other offices while building up her own practice. She doesn’t feel like her practice is work at all! Most of the staff have been with her for 15 years or more. Dr. Steinle loves getting to know her patients and their families. Investing in and working towards a great smile is life-changing for many patients, and she loves being able to guide people on that journey. It requires work and dedication, but the rewards are great and satisfying for all involved. Patients appreciate our team, and in turn our team strives to make them comfortable, making each workday something to look forward to.
