Early Treatment

Early treatment, also known as “Phase I” treatment, addresses problems such as tooth crowding and crossbites and can reduce the time a patient may spend in braces later on. This type of treatment is performed in early childhood before all of the patient’s adult teeth have erupted. It often involves an appliance such as a palate expander for making space for teeth to erupt in crowded situations, or a “habit breaker,” which prevents children from sucking their thumb. Early treatment does not guarantee that another phase of orthodontic treatment will not be required once more teeth have erupted, or once a patient’s jaw growth has reached maturity.

Braces for Children

Braces for children are used to correct crowding, overbites, underbites, deep bites, and many other malocclusions that can harm the bite and teeth later on in life if left untreated.

Braces for Adults

Whether you are seeking treatment for a few crooked teeth or your entire smile, we offer clear and metal braces. Adult patients often prefer clear options because they are less visible. Adult treatment can be indicated for cosmetic reasons, such as crooked teeth which are esthetically displeasing. Adults also seek orthodontic treatment to correct a malocclusion or poor bite, such as teeth which have bone or gum problems, are difficult to brush well due to crowding, or are wearing away due to grinding.

Metal Braces

Metal braces are the most common type of braces. Created with stainless steel, they are now more subtle and comfortable than ever before. Dr. Steinle places the braces on the teeth, connecting a wire to the brackets with the use of small rubber ties. You can choose the color of your rubber ties to personalize your smile, and change the colors at every visit! Metal braces are available for patients of all ages.

Clear Braces

Clear braces are also referred to as “ceramic braces.” They work in the same way as traditional metal braces, but because they are made of clear ceramic, they are much less visible. Patients of all ages can choose clear braces, and often our teen and adult patients prefer this option because it is not as noticeable.

ClearCorrect Aligners

Are you looking for an alternative to traditional braces to achieve your ideal smile? ClearCorrect just might be the option for you! ClearCorrect is a series of clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the correct position. The aligners can be removed when you eat and brush your teeth, making them a low-maintenance option. We will custom-create each set of aligners for your unique smile, and Dr. Steinle will explain how to wear each set for several weeks before moving onto the next one. We will track your progress to ensure you will be thrilled with your smile when treatment is complete!

Retainers

Retainers can be used for simple tooth corrections, or to maintain tooth alignment after treatment with braces or aligners. Fixed retainers are sometimes an option for our patients. Wearing your retainers correctly will ensure your smile stays beautifully aligned for a lifetime!
